Surgery - Soft Tissue

Not all problems and injuries that require surgery involve bones, these are called soft tissue surgeries. These surgeries are quite varied and include routine spays, neuters and dewclaw removal.

The other soft tissue surgeries performed:

  • Abdominal exploration
  • Bladder Stone removal
  • Biopsy of internal organs
  • C-section (Caesarian) for pregnant animals
  • Foreign body (items such as a sock or dog toy) removal from stomach or intestines
  • Limb amputation
  • Mass removal (tumours)
  • Wound repair and reconstructive surgeries

As with any surgery, a pre-surgical physical evaluation and consultation are performed to determine the best treatment for each of our patients. At SVC we offer advanced laser surgery in appropriate cases. Soft tissue referral cases are always welcome.
